HOW TO TAKE YOUR MEASUREMENTS

Your satisfaction is most important to us, which is why we have designed this guide to ensure that our garments will fit you as you desire.

  1. Before taking the measurement, place the garment on a flat surface such as a table, and extend it without stretching it unnecessarily. Never measure it when the garment is hanging.

  2. Use the right kind of tape measure. It should be a fabric or plastic tape like those used by dressmakers.

  3. Make a note of each of the measurements. It will save time and reduce the chances of making errors.

  4. Bear in mind that knitted items tend to give slightly once you wear them.

    SLEEVE LENGTH

Measure the whole length of the sleeve, as shown in the picture. Measure the distance between the seam where it is joined to the shoulder and the end of the cuff.

    SHOULDER WIDTH

Measure the distance across the shoulders as shown in the picture. The measurement should be taken between the shoulder seams. If the garment has dropped shoulders, you will need to estimate the position of your shoulders width. The picture below is a good guide.

      CHEST WIDTH

Measure the chest width as shown in the picture. This measurement should be made between the seams at the sides of the garment where the armhole ends.

        WAIST MEASUREMENT

Measure the waist as shown in the picture. The waist may be measured usually at one inch above the navel.

          BODY LENGTH

Measure the body length as shown in the picture. The distance is measured between the highest part of the shoulder, where it meets the collar, and the bottom end of the garment.

HIP WIDTH (COATS OR LONG JACKETS ONLY)

Measure the hip width as shown in the picture. Make sure to find the largest part of your hips, and place your feet together.
